Change is inevitable.
We’re born. We age. We die… And then there’s everything that happens in between. Life.
We live. We love. And we face loss… things get hard. Sometimes, really hard. And one day, we wake up and don’t recognize the woman staring back at us in the mirror. We don’t know who we are anymore. Or we’ve forgotten.
What are “life’s transitions”?
There are a lot of big transitions in life: Graduating. Getting married. Having children. Getting divorced. Starting a career. Ending a career. Losing a spouse… or a child. Caring for aging parents. And facing your own mortality.
Sometimes, it’s not one big thing but a hundred small things. Somewhere along the way, you forgot who you were… and that you matter, too.
Life is full of changes. Some we welcome. Some we don't. And sometimes, we find ourselves in unfamiliar territory, unsure how to move forward. That’s where coaching comes in.
What is coaching?
Imagine this: You walk into a gym for the very first time. All the people… all the equipment…all the different stations. It’s overwhelming! There’s nothing wrong with you because you don’t know your way around. You’re just in unfamiliar territory. Of course it’s overwhelming!
But what if a personal trainer walked with you and showed you what each station and piece of equipment did? Someone to help you build a workout routine. Someone to accompany you through the gym until you felt comfortable navigating on your own.
Coaching is like that. Maybe you’re going through something that you’ve never experienced. Life has a way of presenting us with the unexpected. Things we didn’t prepare for. It can feel overwhelming. It may even feel impossible.
A coach meets you exactly where you are. They don’t treat you like a diagnosis or a problem to be fixed. They look at you without judgment… ask questions… partner with you in unfamiliar waters. They walk beside you and sometimes offer a perspective you hadn’t considered. They believe in you and help you see another possibility.
If you’re going through something and you’re having difficulty navigating it, a coach might be right for you. Maybe you don’t even know what it is. You can’t quite put your finger on it, you just know something feels off.
It’s worth having a conversation. You’re worth having a conversation.
I’d love to have that conversation with you.
